BetterOS and Student Mobility in APAC

BetterOS continues to expand its cross-border tooling for students moving between Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. The current field build targets visa-aware onboarding, document escrow, and a unified academic record layer that survives institutional transfer.

Pilot cohorts in Busan and Da Nang are stress-testing the corridor: language scaffolding on day zero, housing handoff on day one, and a 30-day integration loop with local mentors. Early signal — drop-off at the visa-to-housing seam is down ~40% vs. unmanaged baseline.

Next field iteration: extend the corridor to Fukuoka and Ho Chi Minh City, with a shared mobility passport that travels with the student instead of the institution.

OurBusan.life and Regional Infrastructure for Human Networks

OurBusan.life is being repositioned from a directory into operating infrastructure for human networks in the region. The Saha-gu pilot treats neighborhoods as the primary unit, not categories — relocators, returners, and long-residents all route through the same surface.

The thesis: regional cities don't lose to capitals on amenities, they lose on legibility. Make the network legible — who is here, what they're building, where to show up — and the rest compounds. The current build emphasizes weekly signal over evergreen listings.

Field metric we care about: time-to-first-meaningful-contact for a new arrival. Target under 72 hours by Q4 2026.
